Women's & Children's Health Network provides state of the art health care for women, babies, children and young people across South Australia.

We are the state's leading provider of specialist care for children with acute and chronic conditions as well as being SA's largest maternity and obstetric service.

The Opportunity
We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Plastic Surgery Team as a
Plastic Surgery Registrar (Prevocational) from 5th February 2024 to 2nd February 2025

Your initial rotation will be in the position of Plastic Surgery Registrar for a period of 12 months.
As per the SMOEA 2023, the total of employment with SA Health will be 3 years. Rotations following the initial 12 month allocation will be determined in line with your training and SA Health's requirements. This may include transfer to other SA Health locations to perform work appropriate to classification, skills and capabilities.


As the Plastics Registrar, you will contribute to the clinical care of Plastics inpatients and outpatients of WCH and/or TQEH under consultant supervision as a pre-vocational surgery trainee.

You will participate in clinical teaching and participate in associated research projects.


About You


To be successful in this role, you will use your clinical skills appropriate for duties in Plastics Operating Theatres, Outpatient Clinics and Ward activities.


You will have a Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent and be registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner.


If you have a demonstrated commitment to providing a quality service to the patient, are able to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary setting and you can communicate, both verbally and in writing, to a wide range of people on a range of sensitive and complex issues, then this role is for you.
