An insight to the role

  • Be instrumental in leading our Australian sales strategy, delivering on the expected commercial targets, continuing our market success as an industry leader
  • Highly active role leading our national sales team, with five direct reports and 14 indirect embed process, drive performance and accountability
  • Form relationships and nurture our longstanding Reseller customers and Key Accounts to deliver on strategic objectives


  • Lead customer intimacy

  • Look for ways to continuously improve our performance and creating win: win solutions
  • Take the lead for budgeting, market analysis, sales forecasting, general sales performance reporting, CRM data collection, pricing strategies and competitor movements
  • Actively participate in new product development and launches to market provide feedback and collaborate with our internal global product management and marketing teams to ensure we're successfully delivering innovative products
  • Collaborate and work alongside our Australasian supply chain team regarding sales forecasting and supply
  • Take a lead role in executing on Datamars' participation in major industry events
  • Actively build our credibility and presence in the market present at regional network events
  • Manage and/or sponsor key reseller training programmes and deliver our National Sales Conference and Datamars Sales Awards

Ideally the role will be based in Melbourne, however we are open to Brisbane and potentially other locations - you'll need to be near a major airport, allowing ease of regular national travel.


Key success factors

  • Highly collaborative customer centric solution focused engaging relationship manager selfstarter
  • Demonstrated evidence of successfully managing high performing sales teams, creating strong team ethos, driving excellence, and developing exceptional customer delivery and sales performance
  • Experience in a similar national sales leadership role within an industry with demonstrable competitive influences in the market
  • Farming and Agriculture industry experience and a strong connection and affinity with farming is definitely preferred and a clear advantage
  • Sales of tangible manufactured products and / or SaaS technologies driven through reseller channels ideal
  • Recognised as someone who puts company values and integrity at the heart of every customer interaction
  • Strong analytical, reporting, CRM and Excel skills
