  • Clerk Grade 11/12 ($134,411 pa
  • $155,445 pa), plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave.

Your role


The Principal Commercial Analyst provides clear, informed advice to the Information and Digital Services leadership team on all matters related to the procurement of ICT goods and services with the goal of achieving the best value for money outcome for every purchase, in accordance with prescribed NSW and Department of Communities and Justice ICT procurement policies.


What you'll do


Reporting to the Chief Digital Information Officer you will utilise your up to date detailed knowledge of NSW Government procurement polices to assist our Information and Digital Services team to with the end-to-end procurement cycle.


You will also be responsible for:

  • Advising on the preparation of tenders; actively participating in the commercial evaluation of ICT tenders; and leading the evaluation of tenders.
  • Negotiating higher value ICT contracts and query unexplained increases in the renewal of contracts to ensure the best commercial outcome.
  • Continuously challenging the current process of endtoend procurement to seek better commercial outcomes.
  • Driving the achievement of value for money/cost reduction for Information and Digital Services through contract negotiations and execution.

What we're looking for

  • Knowledge and understanding of the NSW Procurement framework, procurement governance or best practice procurement policies.
  • Relevant work experience in procurement, administration, legal, finance, project management or related areas.
  • Ability to engage across the business to provide expert advice on all matters related to the procurement of ICT goods and services.
