The Maternity Unit at Royal North Shore Hospital (ranked the 3rd best hospital in Australia in 2022) is seeking a Registered Midwife join their leadership team as a Clinical Midwifery Educator.

This position is temporary part time until 31st October 2024.

What you'll be doing


The Clinical Midwifery Educator (CME) will be guided by the Midwifery Educators and Midwifery Unit Managers lead, in developing, co-ordinating and implementing all structured learning for midwives and student midwives, within Northern Sydney Local Health District (NSLHD).

The Clinical Midwifery Educator will provide clinical teaching, orientation, skill accreditation and professional development support for all midwifery staff and students.

The Clinical Midwifery Educator will have a role in the provision of hospital orientation and mandatory training. They will also be expected to teach in courses appropriate to midwifery within and at facilities external to NSLHD.


The Clinical Midwifery Educator will participate in the development and teaching of the NSLHD Nursing/ Midwifery Professional Development Program (this includes travelling to other sites within the LHD for lecturing and facilitation of workshops).
