ABOUT THE ROLE
FFI is working on a green hydrogen and ammonia opportunity in Brisbane.
We are working with others on the conversion of an existing gas based ammonia production facility at Gibson Island in Brisbane, focusing on construction of an industrial scale hydrogen production facility.
The Operations Readiness Lead will lead operational input to ensure projects are safe to operate and full life cycle costs associated with operating long-life assets is considered during all project phases from pre-feasibility to execution.
This role will Lead and support Operation Readiness activities to ensure operations requirements are budgeted and executed at the appropriate project phase.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead development of operational systems, philosophies and processes to ensure a safe, reliable and lowcost asset is delivered by the project team
- Ensure operational requirements are considered and applied in all phases of projects.
- Ensure asset management and maintenance requirements are considered and applied in all phases of the project.
- Participation in risk assessment studies, HAZID,HAZOP, RAM study, maintainability and layout reviews, etc.
- Raises issues, remove barriers, resolve complex operational issues and escalate to appropriate level when required.
- Lead and inform teams of the operational requirements of Major Hazard Facilities.
- Advise Management on potential operational issues.
- Prepare required reports and presentations.
- Collaborates with transition to operations and onboarding teams as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED
- Site Superintendent/Facility Manager/Installation Manager experience of at least 5 years with either engineering or trade background
- Significant operational and/or maintenance experience in chemical/hydrocarbon processing or related industry.
- Previous experience in Preoperations, Commissioning and Startup and developing new systems/teams
- Experience in renewable energy technology would be highly regarded.
- Experience developing and implementing operational procedures and policies.
- Experience in developing maintenance and asset management procedure and philosophies
- Excellent interpersonal communication and organizing skills to coordinate project activities.
- Experience with regulatory framework for MHF process facilities
- Excellent engagement skills across all business levels
