Job Description:
We have an exciting opportunity for an Operations Supervisor to join our Grocery team in Perth Airport WA.
As an Operations Supervisor you will be responsible for effectively managing and organising the transport of customer's products to various outlets across Metro Perth.
The position exists to ensure that the product is despatched in a timely and cost-effective manner.
If you find you are more productive later in the day, have commitments in the morning, or simply want to beat rush hour traffic, this role is perfect for you as it operates between 1pm-10pm Sunday - Wednesday.

- Determine and arrange weekly labour and vehicle requirements according to volume and time requirements
- Liaise with customer for load requirements ensuring sufficient buffer window is worked for staging and loading activities of all carriers
- Maintain records of work performed to facilitate invoicing of customer and reporting of KPI's
- Ensure all operations are conducted in a way that ensures the safety of the staff, society in general and the environment
- Regular communication with Drivers to ensure effective team building including toolbox talks and spot checks
- Monitor supplier's maintenance requirements including service scheduling of company fleet with logbook requirements
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 2+ years in similar role within Transport & Logistics industry (highly desirable)
- Sound knowledge of Logistics/Supply Chain Management (highly desirable)
- Awareness of effective cost control
- Understanding of transport processes and compliance
- Excellent computers skills (MS Office)
- Ability to work independently but also within a team
- A positive "cando" attitude
