About the Company


The Department of Communities and Justice delivers legal, court and supervision services to the people of NSW by managing courts and justice services, implementing programs to reduce crime and re-offending, managing custodial and community-based correctional services, protecting rights and community standards and advising on law reform and legal matters.


Corrective Services NSW (CSNSW) delivers professional correctional services and programs to reduce the risk of re-offending and enhance public safety.

It serves a key function of the NSW Communities and Justice Sector by providing effective, safe and humane management of offenders both in custody and in the community CSNSW also works in partnership with other government and community agencies to ensure that offenders and their families are supported.


About the Role
Provide high-level administrative support to the Director and Managers within the Contracts and Commissioning Directorate.

Develop and implement efficient and effective work practices and procedures to enhance the support services provided to managers and staff.


About you

  • Provide highlevel administrative support and quality client service in a professional manner to support the Directorate s core objectives
  • Support the successful operation of the Directorate by responding to enquiries in a professional and responsive manner, organising incoming and outgoing correspondence, managing records, systems and databases including the entering of data and filling
  • Undertake a range of administrative and business services, human resource process support, purchasing and vendor management and travel arrangements in compliance with relevant legislation, policies and procedures
  • Organise and minute meetings Undertake research, tasks and projects as directed by Director and/or managers
  • Please also include 2 referees with one being a current manager.

Job Notes:

Part of the assessment process includes additional online capability testing, skills testing or work samples in accordance with the Government Sector Employment Act 2013.
