We own and operate two underground mines and processing facilities in New South Wales (NSW) and have an enviable portfolio of organic growth prospects in the region.


Our Peak Mine comprises several underground polymetallic (gold, lead, zinc, copper, and silver) and an 800 thousand tonnes per annum (ktpa) processing plant.

The Mine is located in the northern Cobar Basin in western NSW, a short distance from the historical town of Cobar.


The Federation deposit hosts high-grade zinc, lead, and gold mineralisation and is located in 15 kilometres south of the central-west township of Nymagee.

The Role
Aurelia Metals is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Team Leader to join our dynamic finance team.

This critical role ensures the delivery of timely and accurate accounts payable services to both our internal teams and external partners, enhancing governance, internal controls, and process efficiency across the board.


Based in Brisbane CBD, this position offers a unique opportunity to support a multidisciplinary team, driving operational excellence and contributing to our success.


Key Responsibilities

  • Enhance and verify internal control measures and process documentation, setting standards for excellence.
  • Drive the Accounts Payable team to achieve and exceed Key Performance Metrics (KPIs).
  • Manage comprehensive accounts payable and supplier reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Collaborate closely with the accounting team to maintain general ledger precision and appropriate reconciliations are completed
  • Support both internal and external audit processes, showcasing our transparency and adherence to regulations.
  • Offer exceptional Accounts Payable services, providing administrative support to both operational mine sites and project initiatives.
  • Ensure prompt and professional responses to all Accounts Payable inquiries, fostering strong internal and external relationships.
  • Compilation of reporting requirements including BAS and PTR. Flexibly assist with various data entry and system management tasks, providing relief for Accounts Payable Officers as needed.

About You

  • You bring proven experience in a shared service environment, ideally with a focus on team management.
  • Your expertise spans the entire Purchase to Pay cycle, underpinned by strong systems knowledge and problemsolving prowess.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and electronic workflow solutions is second nature to you.
  • Your communication skills are exceptional, enabling you to interact effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • You have a track record of developing governance and internal control documentation. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is crucial, along with a solid understanding of GST legislation.

Desirable Attributes

  • Experience with Pronto and RedMap systems is highly valued. A current driver's license is beneficial for site visits.
