ARCHITECTURAL DRAFTSPERSON
This role needs the ultimate combination of Project Management, Customer Service, and Intelligent Design.

You will be customer facing and guide our clients through the design phase of their Granny Flat project, as well as being responsible for drafting the architectural plans for approval.

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Draft Architectural Plans for Granny Flats, Studios, and Garages using REVIT and AutoCAD
• Knowledge of SEPP and how this applies to Granny Flats / Secondary Dwellings
• Research DCP and LEP controls and prepare documentation for Council Approvals
• Prepare plans and documentation for CDC Approval
• Guide customers through customisation of plans
• Assist the Construction Manager and Builder in preparing detailed technical drawings
• Submit Sydney Water Quick-Check Approvals
• Engage Engineers and Consultants to prepare reports and plans
• Review and Update of architectural plans against company standards/preferences
• Regular project reporting to Management
• Project Management through the Design and Approvals process, and Pre-Construction using various software tools (BuilderTrend, Trello, Pipedrive)
• Manage customer expectations through the Design phases through thorough, open communication.

• Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to communicate effectively with customers, contractors, consultants and internal staff is essential.
• Must be able to work unsupervised and autonomously (guided by our systemised protocols)
• Must be able to follow well documented procedures, and provide input for updates or revisions of these procedures
• Experience with Residential Design projects and high level of competence with design in REVIT and AutoCAD
• Must be big on personal development, always looking to grow as a professional and as a person.
• Experience with SEPP, Northern Beaches Council DCP and LEP is highly desirable.
• Possess a 'can do' positive attitude

This is a full-time position offering $70K p.a. + Superannuation.


Salary:
$60, $70,000.00 per year

• 8 hour shift
