About the Role:


We currently have an exciting career opportunity to join our Operating Performance Team based our either our CBD Head Office or Regional Depots in a full time and permanent capacity.

The role will be responsible for supporting the safe and reliable field network operation practices on our networks.

This is done through developing and implementing improvement projects, collaboration with stakeholders, supporting operating mentors across the business and providing communication to the wider field operator group.


What you'll deliver:


  • Support the development and implementation of improvement strategies for delivering high safety and reliability network operating practices, and in turn improve Operating Incident Frequency Rate performance
  • Support communications to stakeholders to ensure alignment and understanding of objectives, strategies, and plans
  • Support, foster and direct a network of field operating mentors to drive best practice in field network operations
  • Create communications to drive awareness of network operating hazards, and controls
  • Provide 'handson' operating support, training and advice
  • Engage with stakeholders across Field Delivery; Health, Safety & Environment; Learning & Development; Network Asset Management to support continuous improvement and governance of operational performance.

To succeed in this role you'll have:

  • Certificate III Electrical Trade, Certificate of Technology (Electrical), or Certificate IV Electrical, Associate Diploma or Advanced Diploma of Electrical Engineering / or equivalent Tertiary based qualification
  • Experience in Network Controlling, Operations Planning or Field Operating on a distribution network
  • Distribution Network / Transmission Network service provider experience
  • High level understanding across all areas of switching activities and Human Factors
  • Effectively at engaging all levels of stakeholders and influencing without authority
  • Understanding and resolving safety, technical and operational challenges.
