Planning and Infrastructure Economics team within the
Infrastructure, Assets and Places group is expanding its energy analytics capability to help businesses and governments make better decisions while navigating the road to net zero.


The energy sector is undergoing significant transformation, driven by number of factors including environmental concerns, declining renewable energy costs, technological advancements, and changing consumer preferences.

Alongside growing complexity and uncertainty, informed decision-making requires data-driven, evidence-based insights


To support Australia successfully transition to Net Zero, our team is growing and we are seeking a
Director or Associate Director, who is based in Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane.


Your Opportunity


In your role as a
Director or Associate Director
in the Planning and Infrastructure Economics** team, your leadership will be instrumental in nurturing our team and expanding our energy analytics offering.

Collaborating with industry leaders, you will provide expert advice to clients on energy transition and contribute to some of the nation's most significant and complex projects, helping build a Better Australia.


This is a team-based, multi-task environment, requiring deep understanding of the energy sector, and extensive experience in using advanced analytics to provide robust advice.

You will be confident in building our energy analytics, market design and policy offering in the market and provide excellence in execution by:

  • Bringing your energy sector and quantitative experience to support high performing and passionate team
  • Developing and maintaining client relationships and industry presence
  • Leading strategic pursuits and opportunities
  • Leading proposals and expressions of interest demonstrating our capability to solve complex challenges facing the sector
  • Leading and delivering energy market and analytics engagements that supports our clients now and into the future
  • Providing strategic, commercial, economic and financial advice to our clients.

  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and strategic thinking skills and demonstrated experience developing complex models and undertaking analysis to help clients make informed decisions.
  • A detailed understanding of market dynamics and system operations for the wholesale electricity and gas markets in Australia.
  • A strong personal brand and market profile in energy market analysis.
  • A proven track record in leading complex energy market and analytics engagements.
  • The ability to prepare client ready deliverables, including energy market models, reports, and presentations.
  • A passion for supporting Australia's energy transition to accelerate and enhance Australian and international progress towards Net Zero.
  • Interest in how disruptive technology is impacting service delivery across energy sector.
  • Experience in business development including wining work, fostering a collaborative and inclusive team culture, and managing resources.
