We're looking for an experienced IT Business Partner to join WA's largest communications agency, based in Perth.


You will

  • Lead all aspects of IT delivery for your designated region/companies.
  • Demonstrate exceptional technical expertise, ideally across Windows, macOS, Office 365, cloud services, Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Establish strong relationships with all the IT functions within the agency's operating model.
  • Develop excellent relationships with key stakeholders.

The role
As an IT Business Partner your key responsibilities will be:

IT Strategy

  • Work with senior leaders to establish a forwardthinking and multiyear technology strategy, that drives innovation, differentiation and simplification.
  • Consult, develop and agree technology strategy for the business, evolve roadmaps and work with the regional teams to deploy locally.
  • Be the strategic touch point for local market leaders in region, to capture and shape business demand for new or changed products and technology services in the agency's 'patch'.

IT Management

  • Serve as an escalation point on behalf of the Operating Companies in case of service quality issues.
  • Monitor performance, drive escalation management with thirdparty vendors.
  • Continually review, monitor and find opportunities to improve service, control and reduce costs.
  • Educate the business on how to use the IT service and maximise benefits. Create and update knowledge base articles for end users.
  • Lead a customercentric culture, championing activities to empower end users to get maximum utilisation of IT, including organising training programmes.

IT Change Delivery

  • Transformation to new services, including initiating infrastructure refresh.
  • Manage and drive local IT changes ensuring global infrastructure and operating company programmes are localised and executed to plan.
  • Provide local input into global business initiatives and escalate major requirements to the relevant CTOs/CIOs.

IT Cost Control

  • Directly partner with peers in the other regions and Operating Groups to combine platforms, solutions and investments.
  • Provide technology guidance to the functional leadership and agree the technology development agenda and budgets.
  • Review local IT purchasing and develop proposals for cost optimisation.
  • Handling and maintaining supplier contracts.
  • Advise local CFOs on IT budget and forecast submissions for annual budgeting.
  • Handle purchases for software, printers, phones and computer accessories, as well as approvals and invoicing.
  • Manage IT asset lifecycle and support the business to drive down costs.

IT Compliance

  • Work with designated operating companies and IT compliance leads to ensure compliance and security needs are met.

You have

  • Experience in a similar role in another company.
  • 10 years' experience as an IT professional.
  • A strong technical background across Windows, macOS, Office 365, cloud services and the Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with local and regional executive stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of toplevel IT architecture principles.
  • Experience and professionalism to engage and influence at the Executive level.
  • Direct experience in managing budgets.
  • Good commercial insight with a comprehensive appreciation of how technology can enable positive business change.
  • A strong track record of delivery, attention to detail, organised and demonstrates excellent project and time management skills.
  • Understanding of the creative mindset and user experience, exposure to creative and media businesses.
