Broadmeadows aquatic and Leisure Centre & Sunbury Aquatic and Leisure Centre are seeking a Group Fitness Team Leader who is passionate about all thing's health and fitness.

This is your chance to join a fantastic team in a permanent part-time position.


We are searching for that someone who has strong industry experience, a passion for our community's health and wellbeing and expanding their knowledge, naturally creative and innovative with their marketing and sales strategy.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
_


  • Under the direction of the Coordinator Fitness Services, the Fitness Team Leader is responsible for the following:
  • Support the Coordinator Fitness Services in the development and review of risk assessments, policies, procedures, and work instructions relating to Group Fitness Supervision and Services.
  • Ensure the health and safety of all members and staff using the facilities, in particular, the safety of all group fitness members.
  • Establish and promote an organisational culture committed to safety by compliance with relevant regulations, Organisational Policies and Procedures, standards, guidelines, and industry best practises.
  • With support from the Coordinator Fitness Services, and in conjunction with Fitness Operations Team Leaders at all facilities, plan and facilitate recruitment and onboarding of new Group Fitness Instructors to ensure an appropriate work force level is maintained including preparations for peak seasons.
  • Maintain appropriate rostering, supervision, support, and performance management of Group Fitness Instructors to ensure the highest standards of safety and service delivery is always provided including routine catch ups with Group Fitness staff.
  • Undertake research, conduct surveys and benchmark against other fitness facilities to provide ideas and concepts for future trends and planning requirements ensuring programs and staff are kept abreast of current industry trends.
  • Health and fitness sales and marketing experience
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Working with Children Check
  • Police Check
  • Certificate 3 in Fitness desirable
  • Current First Aid Certificate & CPR
  • Fitness Registration
