About the Opportunity:


Located in our Darra office, this role will have a direct line report to our Cost Controlling Manager, the position of Cost Controller leads the team of Cost controllers, based across Australia and Philippines, and provides support across multiple areas including Progress Claims, Cost Reforecasting, Risk Management and Commercial Analysis.


Your day-to-day includes:

  • Review cost and revenue accruals, provisions, review balance sheet accounts and ensure ERP(Pronto) transactions are recognized in line with relevant Accounting Standards
  • Review and provide sub margin analysis on labour, materials, equipment and indirect costs, including hours billed versus hours
  • Review and prepare progress claims for approval by Project Managers/ Contract Owners and submit to Clients
  • Provide commentary concerning the underlying performance of the contract(s)
  • Review monthly consolidated Financial results in conjunction with the Sector General Managers and Project Managers / Contract Owners and assist the Sector General Managers in the preparation of Monthly Management Sector Reporting.

About you:


  • Hold appropriate qualifications in Accounting or Cost Engineering
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similary role
  • Experience using Microsoft Power Query, Power Pivot and Power BI is preferred
  • Experience across various project / contract types including but not limited to schedule of rates, unit rates, lump sums
  • Experienced in using large corporate ERP systems and skilled in analyzing large volume data
