Our virtual services are easily accessible via multiple channels, including helplines, video call solutions, apps and websites and cater for Australians at all stages of life, ranging from practical and emotional support during pregnancy through to advice about aged care and helping Australians through the COVID-19 pandemic.


About the opportunity


The UI/UX Designer plays a pivotal role in a digital team, responsible for creating intuitive, visually appealing, and user-centric interfaces for digital products or services.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and other designers, to translate user needs and business goals into compelling design solutions that are compatible with the existing design system, style frameworks and front-end architectures.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in user research through interviews, surveys, and usability testing to understand user behaviours, needs, and pain points.
  • Create wireframes, user flows, and prototypes to visualize and communicate design concepts.
  • Iterate on designs based on feedback and usability testing results to optimize user interactions.
  • Ensure consistency and coherence in interaction patterns across the product or service.
  • Design visually appealing interfaces with a focus on aesthetics, branding, and consistency.
  • Develop highfidelity mockups and interactive prototypes using Figma.

What we're looking for

  • Expert proficiency in design tools such as Figma.
  • Strong understanding of usercentered design principles and methodologies, accessibility, responsive design, native standards, common UI patterns and usability best practices.
  • Experience with user research techniques and usability testing.
  • Ability to work on different products and contribute to the design process at the same time.
  • Ownership of the inhouse design system and working with external collaborators.
