You will be working for an award-winning, fast growing and leading manufacturer, wholesaler and retailer of IT cabling, server racks and IT peripherals.

The company specialises in selling cables, server racks, data, fibre and other electrical cabling products to customers all over the world.

Based in Melbourne you will report to the VIC State Manager. You will be a key player in the frontline sales and customer experience function.

You will be committed to providing exceptional customer service and sales support to a diverse B2B and retail customer base.

You will be responsible for developing and sustaining robust relationships with clients, while also actively seeking and acquiring new clients to expand market reach.


The role:


  • Handle customer queries regarding their account, products, and any escalations, ensuring timely and satisfactory resolutions
  • Act as a liaison between customers and internal teams to facilitate effective communication and project execution
  • Client relationship management to ensure high levels of client retention and customer satisfaction
  • Assist in preparing proposals and quotes for key decisionmakers, aligning with customer needs and business objectives
  • Proactively identify new business opportunities, contributing growth and market expansion
  • Engage with clients to recommend suitable products and services, utilising upselling, and crossselling techniques to meet sales targets
  • Stakeholder engagement and management
  • Pipeline forecasting and management reporting
  • Ensure timely processing of customer quotes, sales orders, and invoices
  • Maintain an indepth knowledge of company products, services, and relevant market developments to offer informed recommendations
  • Collaborate with the State and National Sales Managers to develop and execute customer sales plans
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market changes to maintain a competitive edge

To be successful in this role you must have the following essential criteria:

  • At least 2 years proven Account Management experience, used to working to KPI's gained in an industry that sells data cabling, fibre connectivity products and IT peripherals
  • Strong understanding of technical products related to cabling, IT management, and server rack equipment
  • Proven track record in cross and upselling, account management and identifying new sales opportunities
  • Proven track record of increasing revenue through generation of leads
  • Working Proficiency in Google Suite is essential
  • Proficiency in the organisation's core technologies, including JIM2 and Salesforce would be highly desirable
  • First class communication skills both written and verbal to be able to deal with people at all levels both internally and externally
  • Ability to effectively manage time and prioritise workload
  • Problemsolving mindset, able to address customer concerns and find effective resolutions
  • An effective team player
  • Proactive, selfmotivated, and able to work under mínimal supervision
