- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software solutions to ensure they meet business requirements and architectural standards.
- Collaborate across the full software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis to design, coding, testing, deployment, technical documentation, and support.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, performance, and maintainability.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends and recommending innovative solutions to enhance our systems and processes.
- Act as an escalation point for the resolution of complex technical issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and implement effective solutions.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth. Qualifications and Essential Experience:
- Relevant degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- 5+ years of professional software development experience, focusing on complex, enterprise-level applications, and systems.
- Deep technical knowledge and proficiency in at least 1-2 modern programming languages (, TypeScript, Python, JavaScript, , C#, Java).
- Working knowledge and experience with AWS, particularly in serverless application development, including Lambda, IaC (CDK highly regarded), Kinesis, API Gateway, IoT Core, S3, DynamoDB, CloudFront, RDS, AppSync, CloudWatch.
- Knowledge of good software development practices, including design patterns, coding standards, practices, and principles.
- Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies as needed.
- Understanding of non-functional requirements such as Security, Testing, Accessibility, Resiliency, Maintainability, etc.
- Understanding of source control management (, Git) and CI/CD concepts.
- Understanding of software development methodologies, such as Agile or Scrum.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams. Desirable Experience :
- AWS Certifications
- Experience with or an interest in Internet of Things (IoT) applications.
- Experience with TDD, testing principles, and writing unit tests.
