    This is a six (6) month fixed term, full-time position commencing Term 3, 2024 with possible extension and/or permanency.

    Belmont City College (CC) is seeking a highly professional, passionate and innovative Science teacher to join our team.

    The successful applicant will be a teacher who believes that all young people have the capacity to learn. You should be able to develop and deliver engaging Science learning programs for students in Years 7 to 12, thereby providing them access to the curriculum and the opportunity to reach their full learning potential. With effective interpersonal skills, you will work closely with students, teachers and the community to achieve the best educational outcomes for students.

    Belmont City College students have access to networked computers throughout the campus and supervised internet access in classrooms and other learning areas. Our classrooms are equipped with up-to-date technologies such as 'smart boards' and 'smart projectors' and we value teachers who can integrate these technologies in their classroom practice. A strong focus on academic achievement, student support, technology, and enterprise, as well as the performing and visual arts allows students to develop their talents from Year 7 through to Year 12.

    The College provides a variety of programs including our A Plus Academic Excellence Program in partnership with the University of Western Australia, a specialist Music program, and an Approved Specialist Program in Contemporary Drama.

    This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
