This is a recently established Agency based in Civic. The agency has some advanced data professionals including data scientists, analysts, economists and researchers.

The agency has clear legislative requirements to undertake workforce forecasting, assess workforce skills requirements and undertake cross industry workforce analysis as well as prepare capacity studies, including for emerging and growing industries and occupations.

The Opportunity:

This is a newly created role for to you come in and shape the direction of the first of these capacity studies which will examine the clean energy workforce.

Blank slate discover & work out what the answer may look like rather than just answer or fill in a preexisting answer

The Role:

Producing forecasts of labour supply and demand estimates for the wholeofeconomy and specific priority sectors
Contributing to reports and presentations for government and for stakeholders and the public on future workforce requirements, using the results of forecasting analysis
Reviewing workforce modelling undertaken by consultants on behalf of the Agency

The Ideal Person:

This role will suit you if you have experience and knowledge of the Australian economy and labour market, including experience analysing relevant data sources.

As the models are not build yet there is flexibility on the tool you will use (Excel, R, SQL, SAS, and/or Python) to produce models of labour supply and demand for the Australian labour market.

This role will suit permanent APS looking at moving into contracting, contractors and consultants looking for an interesting role to move client side.

You are likely to be experienced working with the ABS, DEWR, JSA/NSC or the Employment Industry

You must be an Australian citizen and have a minimum baseline clearance or the abilty to obtain one.

Salary / Rate:

- $90/hr - $130/hr
