We are focused on establishing a responsible, reliable and sustainable supply of energy to meet growing demands, with interests in various onshore and offshore projects in Australia, and we are a rapidly growing operator in the Perth Basin.


We're seeking a
Manager - Land & Heritage to
support the broad MEPAU business in managing all land access, land administration, tenure and heritage matters, joining our growing Perth office team of experienced professionals on a fulltime basis.

Reporting to the General Manager Land Management and Approvals, you will:

  • Manage business obligations in relation to land access, with regard to the Petroleum (Submerged Lands) Act 1982 (WA), Petroleum and Geothermal Energy Resources Act 1967 (WA), Land Administration Act 1997 (WA);
  • Manage business obligations in relation to the Aboriginal Heritage Act 1972 (WA), Heritage Act 2018 (WA), Native Title Act 1993 (Cth), and obligations under related Native Title and Heritage Agreements;
  • Manage relationships with MEPAU's landowners and local Traditional Owners;
  • Manage land access compensation payments budget and schedule, and budgeting for ongoing maintenance of MEPAU owned properties;
  • Manage the development and maintenance of land access processes, data collection, analysis, documentation and reporting; and
  • Undertake land analysis for new projects and undertake steps required to secure heritage, tenure or access as required.

Desired Skills and Experience:

To be successful in this role, you'll require the following skills and experience:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field
  • heritage, commerce, law, etc.
  • Experience interpreting and implementing State and Commonwealth Legislation.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and experience working with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders to achieve business outcomes.
  • Demonstrated experience managing and developing direct reports.
  • Highly developed verbal and written communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
