We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Design Manager to join our growing construction team.

As a Design Manager, you will be responsible for managing all design activities across multiple construction projects, ensuring that all design work is completed in accordance with project specifications, contracts, and applicable regulations.

You will lead a team of designers and collaborate closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.


Responsibilities:


  • Manage and oversee all design activities across multiple construction projects
  • Lead a team of designers and provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure timely and costeffective project delivery
  • Review project specifications and contracts to identify design requirements and constraints
  • Develop and maintain project design schedules and budgets
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, contracts, and applicable regulations
  • Monitor project progress and update senior management on key milestones and potential issues
  • Identify and resolve designrelated issues and escalate issues to senior management as needed
  • Ensure that project design records and documents are accurate and uptodate
  • Provide regular updates to senior management on project design status, including potential risks and opportunities
  • Manage the design process, including design development, design review, and design approval

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in construction management
  • 10+ years of experience in design management in the construction industry
  • Experience working on largescale construction projects from $200m upwards
  • Residential project experience is preferred
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of construction project management tools and software
  • Understanding of construction contracts and regulatory requirements
  • Familiarity with building codes and standards
