Reporting to the Head of Sales - Pacific, you as
Sales Manager - Australia will be responsible for a team of people to exceed revenue and sales targets across the country.


About the Role


As a key contributor within the Sales leadership team (Pacific Region) your primary objective will be to manage, coach, develop and motivate the Australian Commercial business development management (BDM) team to exceed company revenue and sales targets.


You will assist the BDMs in looking into new business opportunities and securing new customer contracts to expand on existing business.

This will also include reviewing key existing customer renewals within Australia, with optimal terms and conditions for the company.

Collaborate with the Head of Sales - Pacific and other key stakeholders (including but not limited to, General Manager Operations Australia, State Operation Managers, Finance Director Pacific, Director of Network Development & Franchise Relations - Pacific, Group Credit Manager & Database. Manager) to develop and implement an effective strategy for the Region to meet or exceed assigned targets and KPIs across all business lines with existing and new customers.


Key Accountabilities

  • Achievement of forecasted corporate revenue targets and regional MBO goals (both individually as well as team).
  • Develop and lead profit focused pricing and commercial strategies for Australia and the Pacific region (where necessary).
  • Recruitment of quality personnel to join the ABG Commercial team.
  • Lead, motivate, coach & develop the Australian business development team.
  • Oversee forecasting and management of Commercial Sales budgets on a monthly basis.
  • Maintain and grow positive relationships with senior personnel from key industry partners.
  • Building positive relationships with key contacts at major customers.
  • Regular monitoring of sales results and team productivity on a monthly basis.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies; guidelines and procedures within Australian region.
  • Ensure all weekly and monthly sales reporting and administrative duties are completed accurately and on time. Drive a high degree of utilisation and insights via the company CRM (Salesforce).
  • To proactively work to develop accounts via a regional approach.
  • Identify, prospect and develop new and existing opportunities within the Australian market to increase revenue from this sector to meet sales targets in conjunction with BDM's.
  • Identify, develop and manage key relationships to increase Avis Budget's profile in the corporate / commercial vehicle market.
  • Manage relationships with new and allocated existing customers to meet or exceed sales targets and achieve profitable growth from travel markets for Avis Budget.
