Development Compliance Officer - Technical (Local Government)

Our client is currently looking for a Development Compliance Officer to join their Development Services team in undertaking investigations into building and development compliance matters.

You will be working in accordance with legislative and public health and safety requirements to meet the needs of the community and to minimise risk.

Hourly rate $ Super + Weekly Pay

A Day in the Life:

Provide technical advice and undertake investigations into various building and development compliance matters, including swimming pool safety and fencing regulations, sediment and erosion control & land clearing
Issue statutory approvals in accordance with the relevant legislative, policy and business requirements
Resolve escalated customer and procedural issues to ensure quality service and compliance outcomes are achieved
Undertake site inspections and investigations and prepare high quality technical reports

Previous Relevant Experience Necessary:

Diploma in Planning, Building Surveying or Equivalent Desirable
Diploma in Investigations or Equivalent Desirable
Diploma of Science, Agriculture or Equivalent Desirable
