Live - What you will do

Due to an internal secondment, a rare opportunity has arisen to join Amgen's National Sales Leadership team.

We're looking for a dynamic and experienced State Sales Manager to lead our exceptional Primary and Secondary Care Queensland team.

Your expertise and strategic vision will be instrumental in driving growth and success of our innovative Osteoporosis and Lipid Lowering therapies.

This is an 18-month fixed term contract reporting to the Business Unit Director.


Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead, motivate, and inspire a team of sales representatives to achieve sales targets and objectives
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to drive market share growth and expand product adoption
  • Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activity and sales performance metrics to optimize sales strategies
  • Provide coaching, training, and professional development opportunities to maximize team potential
  • Collaborate crossfunctionally to ensure effective communication and alignment of goals
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, legal and ethical standards, and industry regulations

The experienced Sales Manager we seek is a collaborative, communicative, tech-savvy and innovative individual with these attributes/qualifications:

  • Proven track record of success in a pharmaceutical/biotechnology sales management meeting and exceeding targets
  • Tertiary qualifications in life sciences, business, or a related field
  • Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team
  • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset, able to develop and execute effective sales plans
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and market insights to drive decision-making
  • Valid driver's license, residency and Work Rights in Australia required
