Description

As a Disability Support Worker, you will deliver a variety of services to participants to support them to live fulfilling and meaningful lives.

Your working day may include (but not limited to), assistance and or support with personal cares, administering medications, attending medical appointments as well as domestic and social activities.

The successful applicant will be someone with the flexibility to work long shifts, nights and weekends and able to work with participants with complex needs/ behaviours - mental illness and physical disabilities.

You are an independent, proactive thinker, willing to learn and able to follow direction/s given by your Team Leader. You must
be able to work within a tight-knit team and have excellent communication and report writing skills.

To join our team, you must have the following:

Essential:_

Full availability for long shifts including active and in active hours (In Active Shifts)
Ability to do all shifts including active overnights 3pm to 7am
Experience working with people with physical disabilities
Valid First Aid and CPR Certificates
Experience working with complex challenging behaviours
Experience with personal cares
Experience administrating medications and accurate documentation thereof
Driver's License and your own vehicle
Experience in community care
Practical, active and caring personality
NDIS New Worker Screening Card (or willingness to obtain)
Blue & Yellow card (Current)
