About the Role:


We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Manager at our Yennora Branch, who considers themselves an expert in managing the complexities of container handling and warehousing.

This is a senior role that oversees a critical function in our business providing support in operations by fulfilling the logístical requirements, genuinely driving continuous improvement and best practice.


Some of what you will be doing:

  • Leading the team, conducting daily meetings to allocate tasks and set priorities
  • Ensure all safety standards are adhered to, including daily forklift check lists
  • Meticulously planning and scheduling all work requirements relating to storage and removals within the depot in areas of quarantine, rail preparation and pre loading
  • Manage the storage locations and data
  • Oversee the planning and scheduling of all warehousing employees and equipment
  • Ensure loading and unloading of all consignments is in accordance with Kent's quality and safety standards
  • Oversee the safety and compliance of the warehouse including equipment, staff and visitors
  • Enter and quality control data in management systems
  • Undertake weekly stock counts, monthly stocktakes and audits as required

About you:

Experienced in warehouse management, transport and logistics.

Proven customer-centric and solution-focused individual with the ability to understand that a well-run warehouse is key to a successful depot.

  • Great communication skills with the ability to deal well with conflict resolution
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety
  • Advanced computer skills using MS Suite
  • Have a proactive approach to continuous improvement
  • Car licence essential
