We are focused on expansion of both our product range and our manufacturing capacity, which presents a great opportunity for a qualified Die Setter on Afternoon shift to join our team based at our Adelaide manufacturing operations in North Plympton.
About the Role
Key responsibilities include:
- Review schedules, prepare tooling/machine and other equipment accordingly to undertake a die change
- Conduct Die changes and insert changes as per schedules
- Setup and monitor moulding processes as per setups sheets and BOM's or other work instructions
- Participate in Problem Solving initiatives
- Conduct materials handling where required to complete a task
- Undertake and complete all required documentation pre and post Die change
About you
You must be a qualified and experienced Die Setter with strong communication and teamwork skills. you will be a forward thinker, innovative in your approach and
comfortable in an ever-changing environment. Most importantly, you will possess a can-do attitude, be self motivated and achievement oriented.
The attributes you will bring to this role:
- Recognised qualification(s) in Die-Setting/troubleshooting and/or Die-Trialling, or equivalent. Minimum qualification at Certificate III level preferable
- Experience in the plastics industry within the manufacturing environment is preferred
- Excellent understanding of polymer materials
- Demonstrated commitment to supporting the highest quality and safety standards
- Willingness to learn and undertake tasks, training and projects
- Proven contribution to continuous improvement activities
- Expert problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work unsupervised as well as within a team
- Creative, resourceful and flexible, able to adapt to changing priorities
- Strong mechanical aptitude
