At the Department of Premier and Cabinet (DPC) we work for the people of Victoria by helping the government achieve its strategic objectives.

We do this by supporting the Premier, Deputy Premier, the Minister for Treaty and First Peoples, Industrial Relations, Government Services, as well as the Cabinet.


The Office of the Secretary (OoS) is a responsible for supporting the Secretary's leadership of DPC and the Victorian Public Service (VPS).

Reporting to the Manager and Principal Executive Assistant, the Executive Support Officer will be part of small, high performing team within the OoS


This role will:
- provide comprehensive support to the OoS, including the provision of executive and secretariat support
- provide status reports and oversee the response, quality assurance and editing of correspondence through the OoS
- provide broader administrative and business support functions to the OoS
- engage with and provide advice and guidance to stakeholders on matters within the OoS.


About You
- experience delivering high level secreteriat/project support, ideally at an executive level, with government experience highly regarded
- excellent attention to detail and experience reviewing information to support own work and to identify issues and errors
- well developed stakeholder engagement and relationship building skills, able to effectively build rapport and understanding
- practical experience working in a high performing team, within a highly confidential setting
- excellent organisational skills, able to prioritise effectively and can be flexible and adaptable to changing situations.
