THE COMPANY

Our client specialises in all aspects of the plumbing trade including Design and Construction, Civil Stormwater, Commercial Construction & Commercial maintenance.

They operate with their own civil and infrastructure division, delivering all types of civil projects such as Pipeline Infrastructure (Water, Gas or Waste), Rail / Transport lines, Civil Stormwater.

Engaging in diverse projects Commercial & Civil Projects from Western Sydney Airport to Bio-Science landmark sites and warehouses.

Given their exponential growth and robust project pipeline, they aim to bring on board an experienced Construction Manager with a focus on their Civil Division.

THE ROLE

The Construction Manager will oversee and coordinate various construction projects from start to finish, ensuring that schedules and budgets are followed.
Responsible for the efficient and profitable management of each project in line with or better than estimates as directed by the KPI's of jobs as agreed.
Will control and coordinate all construction activities to ensure that assigned projects are completed in line with client requirements.
Provides leadership in initial planning stage by collaborating with clients, architects, engineers, or other involved parties; develops detailed description of jobs and materials necessary to complete project.
Ensures adherence to the budget and, when unexpected complications or issues arise, makes quick and necessary adjustments.
Ensures safety standards and guidelines are followed on the jobsite and that all safety codes are met in construction.
Oversees contract negotiations, revisions & variations, and additions and adherence by all parties.
Be the prime driver of quoting and winning new work and working closely with estimating team ensure profitability is in line with company expectations as set by the Director.

ABOUT YOU

Thorough understanding of engineering, architectural, and other construction drawings.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Thorough understanding of contracts, plans, specifications, and regulations.
Ability to make intelligent and quick decisions, working well under pressure, and when faced with unexpected occurrences or delays.
