In this field-based role, you can be based anywhere in the Eastern states of Australia.

You will be operating from a home office and will be required to undertake regular domestic and international travel to meet the obligations of the position.


The Opportunity:


John Deere Australia is looking for a skilled Product Specialist with strong technical knowledge and expertise in agricultural equipment to provide product support for our world class equipment.

This field-based position can be located anywhere within the Eastern states of Australia and requires regular domestic and international travel to fulfill the responsibilities of the role.


Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Lead development and execution of the "Product Support Plan" specific to product line responsibilities.
  • Travel to customer and/or dealer locations to investigate product issues and provide resolution to product problems beyond DTAC capabilities.
  • Collect and analyse data from different sources (DTAC, machine telematics data, warranty, etc.) to support product problem resolution process.
  • Communicate machine insights to factory teams and field stakeholders.
  • Provide infield product optimisation support to field stakeholders and dealers.
  • Lead and participate in collaborative training events to improve individual and team knowledge levels.
  • You will be provided with a fully maintained tool of trade vehicle for use in accordance with the Company Car Policy.

About You:


What Skills You Need

  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to solve complex mechanical problems.
  • Fluent understanding of machine technical schematics, theory of operation, and diagnostic procedures.
  • Strong desire to selfdevelop and ability to absorb knowledge in fastpaced environment.
  • Professional communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment.

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Being an excellent communicator, who thrives on solving problems and working in a team environment.
  • Experience with diagnosing Electrical, Hydraulic, and Mechanical systems found on heavy equipment.
  • Experience working with vehicle CAN communication systems and diagnostic tools.
  • Knowledge and functional experience on advanced precision agriculture technology.
  • Knowledge of agricultural and/or heavy equipment service operations.

Education / Experience:

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Technology, or other related fields.
