The Library Services Centre provides innovative, high quality, customer-focused library services including digital and information literacies and use of learning technologies, research skills, information resources, scholarly and cultural collections, and learning facilities that contribute to and enhance the University's learning, teaching, and research goals.

The Library delivers a wide range of online resources and services to all campus and study locations and to clients both on and off-campus.

The Library is also responsible for the overall management and control of the University's records.

ECU Library has an ongoing Library Coordinator position available working within the Digital Literacy and Library Experience team.

Digital Literacy and Library Experience Team
The digital literacy and library experience team manages Library services across ECU's three campuses.

The Library Experience team provides a high quality information and referral service to the University community, both online and in person.

The Library Experience team manages Library services and spaces including the Library website and provides a high quality evidence based experience to students and staff at the University.

The library experience team works with Librarians in the digital and information literacy team to support students with digital and information literacy skills.


Applicants will be expected to have:

Qualifications:

Completion of a degree with subsequent relevant experience, or extensive experience and specialist expertise or broad knowledge in the library technician field or an equivalent level of expertise gained from a combination of experience, training or professional accreditation.

Eligibility for Library Technician or Associate membership of the Australian Library and Information Association is desirable:


Demonstrated experience in managing, leading and developing staff including recruitment, selection, on-the-job training, performance management and reviews to enable the achievement of agreed outcomes.

Demonstrated knowledge of, and experience in, the use and continuous improvement of Library related systems and platforms.


Experience managing all aspects of customer service to achieve quality outcomes including developing, implementing, marketing and review of services, workflows and standards to ensure quality and consistency in service delivery across campuses.


Experience utilising technologies such as communication technologies for teamwork, excel for reporting, and an understanding of learning technologies utilised in higher education.


Good oral and written communication skills including the ability to communicate with various stakeholders including Library and University staff, external agencies, and students as required, to resolve issues, maximise efficiencies, and maintain a high level of service provision.

The ability to work effectively with multi-disciplinary teams and to produce deliverables within specified timeframes.

Benefits & Remuneration
This ongoing position attracts remuneration of $85,551 to $92,301 plus 17% University superannuation contribution.
