Your technical responsibilities to the role: You will be responsible for managing high quality risk compliance and investigations procedures within the Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages.

  • Identify, analyse and escalate noncompliance and risk and work with operational units to develop and implement corrective actions and risk treatments.
  • Research, develop and deliver current compliance, fraud, risk and security awareness training to all RBDM staff in consultation with law enforcement agencies and other stakeholders responsible for Australia's national security.
  • Work with Managers to develop comprehensive policies, procedures, templates and reporting mechanisms for all compliance, fraud, risk and security related information across RBDM.
  • Prepare reports for the Registry management with recommendations for compliance enhancements, fraud and risk mitigation and security awareness.
  • Build and sustain relationships, liaising with a range of internal and external stakeholders including other government agencies and the private sector to create opportunities and improvements to service delivery and fraud prevention capabilities.
  • Work as directed to assist the Policy and Compliance team to manage correspondence and records and respond to matters escalated by other business units.
