Are you a Registered Nurse with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, looking to step into more of a leadership role? Knox Private Hospital is looking for Associate Nurse Unit Manager in our Cardiac (Miller) ward.

About us

Located in Wantirna,
Knox Private Hospital is a fully accredited tertiary facility with 295 beds, providing Emergency Services, Extensive Surgical Specialities, 20 bed ICU/CCU, Medical, and a full range of Cardiac Services including two 24-hour Cardiac Catheter Laboratories and Cardiac surgery.

Our Miller ward is a 10 Bed, standalone Intensive Care Unit has a highly skilled team caring for patients with acute surgical, cardiac and medical procedures and conditions.

Supported by an education team, we provide ongoing training and development, including post graduate education and advanced practice courses. Our Intensive Care Liaison Nurse provides additional resource within the department and outreach support for the broader hospital.

As a ANUM - Cardiac your responsibilities will include:

Facilitate a learning culture to ensure continuous improvement
Maintain professional and constructive working relationships with our VMO partners, using a customer service mindset, to enable high quality patient outcomes.
Provide clinical operational direction for the unit to ensure efficient and effective management by coordinating the delivery of nursing care that is evidence based.
Be accountable and responsible for the effective daily management of human, financial and material resources
Coordinate and drive clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives
Undertaking direct patient care, as required

Selection Criteria:

Current Registration with AHPRA
Working with Children check (if relevant)
5+ years cardiac experience is preferred
Current or previous ANUM or clinical nurse specialist experience (desirable)
Sound clinical knowledge
Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills
Positive role modelling behaviours
Excellent customer service focus, time management and prioritisation

If you are successful, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant nursing experience against the current nursing Enterprise Agreement the "Healthscope Victoria
Nurses' and Midwives' Enterprise Agreement " (salaries range between $51.77 to $53.50 per hour)._
