    Description

    Role:
    In the capacity of Senior Safety Advisor, your responsibilities will entail supervising the execution of safety programs and initiatives aimed at fostering a secure and compliant workplace environment for all team members. You'll serve as the primary contact for all safety-related concerns on site.

    Position : Senior Safety Advisor
    Location : Chinchilla, Queensland, Australia.
    Work Schedule : 8 days on / 6 days off.
    Transportation : Fly-in Fly-out from Brisbane.
    Accommodation : Provided while on-site.
    Meals : Provided while on-site.
    Travel : Provided to and from site/s at the beginning and end of each roster.

    Accountabilities:

  • Financial: Prepare and manage budgets, maintain workers' compensation, and correct cost variances.
  • Operations: Maintain processes, procedures, and records, report on WHSE management, manage audits, provide training, support transitions, and contribute to business growth.
  • Customer: Foster positive relationships with clients, manage service delivery, prepare reports, and manage client meetings.
  • People: Operate in accordance with BGIS' values, establish and maintain relationships, promote teamwork, drive achievements, and foster communication.

    • Qualifications and Experience:

    Essential:

  • 5+ years of experience in an OH&S Advisor role,
  • Experience in conducting OH&S audits,
  • Knowledge of ISO 45001 and AS/NZS ISO 14001
  • Experience in construction or property management,
  • Proficiency in desktop applications, and CMMS knowledge.

    • Desirable:

  • Experience in an Environmental supervisor/manager role and knowledge of OHSAS 18001.
