Position Information:

Beaumont Road Public School is located on the north shore of Sydney and has a student enrolment of 340.

The school culture is that of high expectations, reflected by the attainment of excellence in academic achievement, historically having outstanding NAPLAN results.

The school is supported by a strong and vibrant multicultural community, with 28% of students having a language background other than English.


Beaumont Road Public School has a diverse teaching staff who provide teaching and learning opportunities that contribute to the development of self-evaluative, resilient lifelong learners.

Students can become involved in various extracurricular activities that support the whole child's development, with a particular emphasis on the creative and performing arts.

The school also has a strong connection with Gol Gol Public School and students have the opportunity to be involved in Cultural Immersion Programs.


There are strong links between the school and community, with an active P&C consisting of parents, caregivers, and the wider community who support the school with a number of initiatives to provide additional resources for students.

Demonstrated capacity to inspire and lead highly effective, strategic, high-impact teaching and learning practices for continuous improvement in the current and future climate of educational change with a focus on literacy and numeracy.


Demonstrated capacity to be an open, approachable, and resilient leader able to make data-informed and strategic decisions in the best interests of all students and staff, in line with the school vision.


General Selection Criteria:


  • High level educational leadership with the skills to lead and manage a complex public school focused on the delivery of high quality education
  • Ability to lead and manage rigorous and inclusive whole school teaching and learning programs
  • High level communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build positive relationships and engage all levels of the school and educational community
  • Ability to lead and manage the development and performance of staff to improve teaching and learning
  • Ability to plan systems and manage resources effectively and equitably to enhance teaching and learning
  • Capacity to lead staff in implementing the Department's Aboriginal education policies and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people
