The Daylesford Hospital operating theatre is scheduled to open July 2024 and will be operating sessions starting three days a week, expanding to five days within the first six months.


The newly refurbished, purpose-built facility hosts a sterile stock storage area, recovery and CCSD operations providing state-of-the-art facilities to deliver best care.

General surgery scope of practice at Central Highlands Rural Health includes but is not limited to, colonoscopy and gastroscopy. Ophthalmology Services such as cataract extractions are performed in collaboration with Grampians Health Service.

The Administration Officer - Perioperative Services provides general administrative support to the Daylesford Theatre. This includes coordination of the documentation required to manage the elective surgery waiting lists, theatre bookings and Preadmission Clinic. (PAC).


The role also actively participates in the admission of patients, including liaison regarding the financial aspects of the admission, and completing all relevant paperwork.


This role is a key part of the Administration team, the role will cover reception during meal breaks, and may be required to cover other roles in the administrative team as required.


It is essential that in this role you have a strong customer service focus as this position is a consumer facing role.

Permanent full-time position working 80 hours per fortnight + ADO


Salary:
$33.79 Per hour + 11% superannuation + access to salary packaging
