About the Role


The Talent Acquisition Consultant is responsible for sourcing and screening talent to fill high-volume award level positions for a dedicated business area within Operations.

You will be involved in managing and fulfilling the end-to-end recruitment process for award positions, including partnering with hiring managers to understand role and business requirements, determine sourcing channels and methods, develop advertising, managing and screening applicants and making recommendations to hiring managers.

This role will be located in Melbourne and will require frequent travel to different operational facilities


Primary Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Partner with the hiring managers and HR Business Partners to understand the BU's talent requirements, including their strategy (e.g., environment/culture), the unique role requirements and the capabilities (and other attributes) required to perform the role
  • Draw on experiences and knowledge (e.g., past successful/unsuccessful hires) to advise and guide the business from a recruitment perspective
  • Provide input and steer the BU's longerterm talent strategy for high volume awardbased recruitment
  • Perform resume and telephone screening of applicants
  • Participate in interviews and coach hiring managers on interview practices (as required)
  • Provide regular reporting and market insight to stakeholders
  • Working closely with internal stakeholders to identify and implement retention strategies

  • Recruitment experience required, minimum of 3 years in a similar role in internal recruitment
  • Indepth knowledge of fullcycle recruitment processes and best practices.
  • Previous experience in campaign recruitment hiring a variety of bulk roles.
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other recruitment software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing abilities.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced and deadlinedriven environment.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • High level of professionalism and integrity.
  • Strong team player with a collaborative mindset.

  • Adaptability and flexibility to navigate changing priorities.
  • Experience in a fast paced and complex and / or unionised environment
  • Experience in a change environment
  • Current Australian
    Drivers Licence.
