About the role

  • We have a permanent opportunity for a
    Technical Advisor Dams providing engineering technical support for delivery of projects and to planning, operations and maintenance groups to optimise the performance and life of our existing assets across WA. This role will be based in our Shenton Park office, reporting to the Team Leader
  • Conveyance & Dams. Occasional trips to the regions may be required however most of Dam related assets are in Perth Metro and in the Southwest Region providing a good work life balance with limited trips to the regions.

What the role will involve

  • Provide specialist technical advice with data collection and geotechnical instrument maintenance at dams and related assets
  • Provide direction and advice on design and implementation of data collection activities
  • Develop and facilitate technical training, and providing advice to key internal stakeholders
  • Participate in project teams for specific data collection projects including advice on any capital project definition, design, acquisition, installation, commissioning and reporting
  • Investigate, report faults and arrange corrective action as required
  • Review and inspect existing assets and facilitate modifications to achieve full compliance with our corporate standards

Key skills and experience

  • You'll have a diploma qualification, or similar in a relevant field, along with experience in data collection, analysis and geotechnical instrumentation. We will also require experience in the areas of construction, commissioning, and maintenance support of equipment and systems in water or process industries. Your ability to work as part of a high performing team, provide leadership & mentoring, and work independently as required will set you up for success in this role. You will be working with Dams and Conveyance team members, operational staff, project managers and external contractors.
