Your part in our UnitingCare Community team


Manage the operational and business administration function of the service and provide professional leadership to Lifeline Crisis Support employees and volunteers, with an emphasis on the provision of high quality, best practice service delivery, strong engagement of Crisis Supporters and adherence with relevant service agreements, policies and procedures.


Duties of the position:

  • Lead and manage all aspects of the Service to ensure that goals and objectives are met as required and within prescribed time frames and parameters
  • Work within relevant practice and quality frameworks and risk management plans and identify and inform management of current or potential risks that may impact on service delivery, the operations of the organisation and in particular, the safety of clients and employees
  • Provide professional leadership to Crisis Support employees and volunteers through formal and informal interactions, and performance management with service excellence for our clients as a continued priority
  • Maintain a proactive focus on service recruitment to meet service needs
  • Evaluate recruitment strategies, report on outcomes and utilise data to inform planning activities
  • Support volunteer engagement and retention through a range of activities
  • Assist in the implementation and monitoring of the Service's budget and
  • Business Information Systems and provide accurate and timely internal and external reports on key indicators as required for the service
  • Coordinate recruitment, training and rostering activities as required
  • Develop resource material for clients, families and community as required
  • Develop service delivery strategies in consultation with management in order to improve overall service awareness and satisfaction
What makes a difference for us?- Tertiary Qualification in a relevant field (e.g., Social Work, Psychology or Social Science) as required by relevant service contracts- Lesser formal qualifications with acquisition of considerable skills and extensive and diverse relevant experience to an equivalent standard- Current Australian drivers licence- Blue Card- Experience in a service delivery management role- Certificate IV in Training & Assessment is desirable
