About the role
Leading a team of Educators, you will manage a service at a primary school in the hours before and after school for children aged 5-12 years.
You'll have the support of a state specific office, plus regional managers who regularly visit and mentor you at your service.
- Develop and facilitate an engaging childcentered program full of exciting experiences such as STEM, sport, cooking, art and craft whatever you and the children are into
- Foster healthy relationships with children, the school, community, and parents
- Lead a team of Educators onsite, including roster management
- Manage the daytoday operations of your service including compliance and administration

About the school
Your new home is at Helping Hands Meridan, a beautiful OSHC service operating from Meridan State College.
You will be taking ownership of this established service and will have the support of a strong and supportive team of regular educators.
The Helping Hands service at Meridan is licensed for 90 children, with average attendances of 40 children of a morning and 60 in the afternoons.
The OSHC service has ownership of their own room within the school grounds.This large space is split into two by a lovely office and large kitchen area and there is a large deck surrounding the space.
The service also has access to a multitude of outdoor spaces and operates with the support of a wonderful school community.
Who are we looking for?We can teach you about the job and sector, but a few basics you need to have:
- Enjoy working with kids
- Strong and clear communication
- Team player with a desire to become a service leader
- Hold or willing to obtain a national police check (we'll pay for it) and a state check for working with children
- Australian work rights
- Diploma or higher (Or working towards) in: Teaching, Education, Music, Behavioral Science, Community Services, Youth, Creative or Fine Arts, Early Childhood Education, Nursing or Allied Health, Sport and Recreation or Human Welfare.
