WHAT ARE YOU IN FOR?


The Contracts and Commercial General Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of contracts and commercial management to help achieve our client's objectives.

-
Law and Risk Management - manage and monitor contractor activities and performance while preparing appropriate inductions, training, and other relevant information for contractors

Financial Management - manage project expenditure in conjunction with the budget, capture all project expenditure for timely client invoicing, and assist the Executives in making and implementing important financial decisions

Contract Negotiation
  • Develop, review and negotiate variations to contracts, renew and update existing contracts, and provide contractual guidance to contractors

Planning, Procurement & Implementation
  • Prepare a comprehensive contract procurement plan, implement the terms and conditions of the contract, control costs, and ensure timely distribution and preparation of reports

Workplace Health and Safety Compliance
  • Prepare the list of inherent hazards associated with the work, prepare workplace health and safety performance indicators for the contract, and ensure compliance with ethical practises, company policies and procedures

Interpersonal and Supervisor Skills
  • Complete complex reporting requirements, liaise with internal stakeholders, suppliers and maintain strong client relationships, communicate project risks to the project team and have strong verbal and written communication skills

THE NITTY GRITTY

  • 7+ years' experience as a Contracts Administrator
  • Bonus points should you have experience/ knowledge of Construction/ Fabrication/ Commissioning of an Oil and Gas plant
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Familiarity with Petrochemical Industry standards and document types
