    Are you ready to take on a pivotal role in the heart of our freight operations? Northline is seeking a driven and experienced Freight Supervisor to ensure the smooth flow of our logistics processes. As a key player in our dynamic team, you'll be at the forefront of our commitment to safety, efficiency, and exceptional service.

    Responsibilities:

    • Efficient Operations: Oversee the loading and unloading of PUD vehicles and timely loading of linehaul trailers/containers, ensuring every step is executed with precision and efficiency.
    • Safety Compliance: Maintain a high standard of safety compliance, ensuring adherence to regulations and procedures, and prioritizing the well-being of our team.
    • Team Support: Provide guidance and support to Fleet Controllers, Forklift Operators, and Receiving Officers, fostering a culture of safety, accuracy, and teamwork.
    • Communication and Reporting: Keep communication channels open and report revenue, load, and service issues promptly to the Operations Manager for swift resolution.
    • Transport Coordination: Coordinate transport movements in alignment with transit schedules and customer requirements, ensuring timely delivery and customer satisfaction.

    Requirements & Competencies:

    • Safety Focus: Have Health, Safety & Environment practices at the forefront.
    • Supervisory Experience: Demonstrate advanced supervisory experience in the freight industry, with a track record of achieving KPIs and targets.
    • Communication Skills: Exhibit excellent communication and people management skills, essential for leading and motivating a diverse team.
    • Problem-solving Ability: Possess strong decision-making skills and experience in managing performance and disciplinary actions.
    • Technical Proficiency: Utilize proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite to facilitate efficient operations.
    • Integrity and Professionalism: Uphold high standards of integrity, professionalism, and customer-centric approach to problem-solving.
    • Relationship Building: Develop and maintain key relationships, both internally and externally, to drive success.
    • Time Management: Display strong time management and numeracy skills to meet deadlines and targets consistently.
