About the Company
You will be working for an industry leader in the transport and logistics industry, servicing contracts within the Energy and Fuels sector.
About the Role
Reporting to the HSE Leader, the role is responsible for providing practical HSE advice and support to the team and delivering initiatives that continually improve the HSE culture and performance in line with the company strategy and values.
Some of your duties will include:
- Develop, review and implement Site HSE Plans and assist the business in achieving all objectives and targets
- Review recorded reporting of hazard identifications, corrective actions, incidents and investigations
- Attend and develop materials/ provide data for HSE meetings/ HSE Toolbox (Prestart) meetings
- Coordinate and deliver HSE training programs that enhance the understanding and effectiveness of the HSEQ System, risk management, safety leadership and hazard reduction
- Undertake HSE system and compliance audits, thirdparty external audits, including selfinsurance and certification audits
- Conduct regular site HSE inspections with business stakeholders to drive improvements onsite conditions
- Conduct incident investigations to ensure the determination of root cause and timely corrective actions
- Review and assist regional stakeholders with the development and maintenance of the Site/s HSE Risk Registers
- Undertake safety conversations
- Assist with the development/ review of risk assessments
- Support the HSE Bids and Tenders process by providing information
- Review contractor HSE performance and prequalification process
_To be great in this role you:_
- 5 years of practical experience in an HSE role with a focus on warehousing and dangerous goods transport
- Strong relationship management of both internal and external stakeholders
- Knowledge of HSE legislation, ISO45001 & ISO1400
- Excellent written and communication skills, and write highquality reports
- Experience in conducting incident investigations using ICAM or similar methodologies
_Qualifications - Education and/or professional_
- Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety
- ICAM trained (preferred)
- Dangerous Goods qualifications/ training (desirable)
