Position Description

  • The Primary purpose of this position is to undertake despatch and warehousing activities to ensure that all incoming materials are stored, picked, transported and available for use by the production department as required. Positions are available for the afternoon shift.
  • To follow the directions of the Warehouse Team Leader(s) and / or Supervisor.
  • Operate a forklift to load, move or transport stock within the warehouse and production areas
  • Pick Orders using an Order picking forklift
  • Unload Shipping containers using a forklift
  • Manually pick parts and load trolleys for transport to production.
  • Use a hoist/ crane to move heavy items.
  • To transport picked stock to the Production facility using tow buggies/ forklifts etc.
  • Operate a computer to check orders, stock availability, missing parts etc
  • General Housekeeping within the warehouse
  • A Storeperson may also take on additional voluntary roles within the team e.g Team Safety Volunteer, Team Quality Representative etc.
  • Other general Warehousing duties as determined by the Team Leader and/or Supervisor.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Current licence as per job role allocation (LF and LO)
  • Basic to Intermediate numeracy/ literacy skills
  • Basic computer skills and/ ability to learn
  • Able to take direction and follow written, verbal instructions & procedures.
