About the role:


To support our ongoing growth, we now have an exciting opportunity available for a
Full time Warehouse Supervisor to join our high-performing team.


Location:
Laverton North, VIC


Salary + Super:
Commensurate with experience


Reporting directly to the Factory Manager, you will be responsible for the efficient and organised coordination of day-to-day warehouse and inventory related activities.

While the diversity of the role means you will be wearing different hats, you will be required to be hands-on and your key responsibilities will include:


Warehouse & Safety:


  • Ensure all OH&S guidelines are followed to ensure a safe working environment & demonstrate a personal commitment to safety
  • Actively promote and enforce company policies and ensure operational staff are aware of individual responsibilities.
  • Management of the site receivals, distribution, warehouse operations, suppliers, and Inventory
  • Review and implement continuous improvements and promote excellence in the AFA Supply Chain
  • Guaranteeing high levels of housekeeping and that the warehouse is always kept clean and tidy.
  • Lead by example in daily warehousing operations including loading and unloading goods, picking orders, replenishments, managing backorders, invoicing, reconciling stock levels etc.
  • Maintaining stocktake and inventory integrity with high standards of reporting and traceability of all documents in our inventory management system.
  • Ensuring the warehouse operates at peak efficiency with customer satisfaction being the primary goal, by leading and supervising warehouse employees and establishing, monitoring, and managing operational objectives.
  • Attending to customer service issues such as complaints and inventory queries
  • Written Weekly summary of activities covering the following: Safety, Housekeeping, documentation, Logistics, Personnel issues, Toolbox meetings. Etc

Team & Relationships:


  • Provide ongoing training, development, support and supervision of your team, including the assigning of specific duties and projects
  • Communicate effectively with team leading daily toolbox meetings
  • Daily coordination of staff requirements & effective resource planning
  • Monitor and communicate KPI's for each functional area of responsibility and implement relative corrective actions to increase efficiency and improve the customer experience.
  • Be involved in the recruitment, training, and development of team members and identify opportunities to improve employee engagement
  • Work collaboratively with our other network team members to ensure our customers are provided with the very best service
  • Liaise with other cross functional division team members, in particular Supply Chain Inventory teams.
  • Building strong relationships with all transport companies and packaging suppliers to ensure optimum service levels are maintained and costs minimised.
  • Liaising with 3rd party logistics providers

  • Be an outgoing individual with a high level of personal drive and excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • Have a current driver's licence
  • Customer focused and service oriented, with an understanding of the sense of urgency required to run a successful warehouse
  • Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence effectively at all levels of the organisation

Skills and experience:


  • Current LF Forklift licence essential with a good driving record and you are comfortable lifting weights up to 25kg.
  • You have a minimum of 3 years' experience in a warehouse operations role having worked in a supervisor or management role would be a bonus.
  • You're a collaborative leader who loves to get your hands dirty alongside the warehouse team and lead by perfect example you also don't mind working independently when necessary.
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Client focused and results driven, you are confident and pleasant in interacting with team members of varying demographics.
  • You have a demonstrated ability to thrive in a fastpaced environment while maintaining high attention to detail.
  • You have proficient Microsoft Office skills and strong technical competence with inventory management software.
You may be required to provide evidence of qualifications, undergo a police check, and medical assessment. This is to ensure suitability
