Description
We are seeking applicants for our 4-year-old group program.
This position is for a part-time diploma-qualified educator to join our experienced teacher and co-educator in one of our 4-year-old groups with up to 28 children.
The applicant will demonstrate experience in play-based programs and strong ability in working with children with a diverse range of abilities.
We offer a salary based on the Victorian Early Childhood Teachers and Educators Agreement 2020 (VECTEA), regular professional development opportunities, and a collaborative and professional working environment.
Hours:
Permanent hours - Tuesday 7:45am to 2:00pm, Thursday 7:45am to 3:00pm, and Friday 7:45am to 2:00pm hours contact time, 3.
75 non-contact, 1 hour admin with additional paid hours for staff meetings)In addition, temporary hours Wednesday 8:30am to 1:30pm to be renewed on a term to term basis if required
Qualifications
- a minimum of 2 years of experience
- Hold an approved Diploma qualification in Early Childhood,
WWCC, current first aid certificates - Be able to support the teacher in planning and implementing the program, and be confident in taking observations of children's learning and development
- A sound understanding of playbased pedagogy
- have excellent communication skills and work well as part of a team.
- Work in a professional manner at all times and ensure that the service meets the requirements of the Education and Care Services National Law (National Law), Education and Care Services National Regulations (Regulations), relevant curriculum framework, the Quality Improvement Plan, and policies and procedures of the service
