About The Role


As the Allied Health Services Manager you will provide operational management for all allied health services and work units, and high-level strategic leadership of clinical services, educational activities and staff supervision arrangements to ensure services are coordinated, integrated and efficient.

Duties

  • Lead, operationally manage and be responsible for physiotherapy services across multi designated work units
  • Provide high level advice on strategic direction and operational planning in accordance with local and statewide priorities.
  • Guide and support for Team Leaders to enhance the delivery of coordinated, integrated and efficient clinical services
  • Be responsible for equitable access and consistent provision and implementation of appropriate education and clinical practice supervision across physiotherapy work units to maintain professional clinical standards and enhance the knowledge and skill of the multiprofessional team
  • Be responsible for workforce planning and building workforce capability to meet service demands as well as the development, implementation and evaluation of major initiatives designed to achieve service goals
  • Provide authoritative counsel across a range of clinical areas to supervisors, relevant service managers and other stakeholders regarding professional clinical standards, workforce issues and clinical service development to inform strategic level management processes, and enhance teamwork and clinical outcomes
  • Actively maintain professional development for own professional standards and also to enhance the skills and knowledge of the physiotherapy team and wider multiprofessional teams

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor of Health Science or equivalent specialising in allied Health with current AHPRA Registration
  • Proven track record in delivering quality clinical care
  • Excellent clinical assessment skills
  • Care planning capabilities
  • Highly effective communication and relationship management skills
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills
  • Excellent communicator and coach
  • Ability to foster a team environment and build collaborative relationships
  • Confident and capable of presenting to groups
  • Analytical skills and ability to interpret data into actions
