  • VPS3: $73,842 $89,661 per annum plus superannuation
  • Ongoing, full time (flexible working arrangements)

About the Role


The Finance Officer-Contract Payments is to assist ensuring timely and accurate payments of the tram franchise and bus service contracts.

The Finance Officer role in Bus and Tram Contract requires close collaboration with various departments, including contract management, legal services and external contractors.


Key Accountabilities

  • Process transactions, claims, and requests in the contractual payments system in a timely and accurate manner and in accordance with the set guideline in agreed contracts.
  • Review transactions in the accounting and contract management systems or systems generated exception reports and appropriately refer more complex problems to senior officers.
  • Support financial reports generation and ensure the timely and accurate completion of reconciliations, annual account working papers, financial reports, and other ad hoc reports and circulars.
  • Communicate effectively, authoritatively, and positively with internal/external stakeholders, ensure a high level of client service delivery, and proactively seek to resolve or appropriately refer more complex problems to relevant stakeholders.

Key Selection Criteria:


  • Demonstrated experience in communicating with internal and external stakeholders and ability to convey and receive information.
  • Ability to exercise professional judgment to respond to customers in a timely and courteous and efficient manner.
  • Highlevel expertise in assessing and processing financial claims.
  • Demonstrated highlevel Microsoft excel expertise.
