This year, We are offering two scholarships to Indigenous students to support and assist in development of their future within the mining industry.

This scholarship is open to students of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent who are undertaking their 2nd or 3rd year of study of single degree in the following disciplines:
Engineering (mining, mechanical, electrical, civil, geotechnical or mechatronics)

Surveying

Geology

Health and safety

Accounting

About you

Be a current fulltime, undergraduate student in your second year (or later) studying a degree course in mining engineering at a recognised university in Australia

Proven to be maintaining a GPA of 4.5 or higher

Available to complete a 12-week vacation work placement with Thiess (prior to graduation)

Able to demonstrate commitment to Thiess' shared group principles of Integrity, Accountability, Innovation and Delivery

Free from a bond or commitment to any other employer
