About the role


The purpose of this role is to:

  • Assist the Director of Medicine with the delivery of medical services within the Department,
  • On the days the Clinical Director is not rostered to work, the role with have delegated authority to manage the clinical care of patients allocated to the Clinical Director and to provide guidance to the junior medical team members. While performing this role the occupant will have appropriate inperson Consultant level support and supervision.
  • Assist with rostering of medical registrars
  • Assist with coordinating educational activities for registrars and residents as required
  • Assist with the coordinating and planning the FRACP clinical examination (patient recruitment and logistics)
To provide ethical decision making in the achievement of organisational goals.
This role reports directly to the Medical Director of Medical and Older Persons Service Line, Caboolture Hospital
This role has a professional reporting line to the Deputy Director of Medical Services

Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration with the Medical Board of Australia.

Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager prior to the commencement of clinical duties.

You must have a medical degree from an Australia university or equivalent qualification from a tertiary institute acceptable to the Medical Board of Australia (MBA) for registration in Australia as a medical practitioner.

You must have by the date of your appointment a Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) or other qualifications acceptable to the MBA for registration as a specialist appropriate to this position.
